http://ift.tt/eA8V8J By Francis Ewherido I get amused while passing through some neighbourhoods. I see bare-bodied young men walking in the streets, parading their well-chiseled bodies. I always say to myself, I hope these guys are also building their mental muscles. I do not know what goes on in their minds that make them walk the streets in daylight half naked, but I hope they are not fixated on the illusory assumption of the kind of man women want. In our teenage years, we were misled into the same illusion: Tall, handsome, muscle-bound with six ridges (albs), etc. As I grew older, especially when I became an undergraduate, I got confused because I saw “ugly” lecturers and professors, some of whom were barely five feet, married to tall, stunning beauties. Then the inquisition started, how come these short men are marrying tall, beautiful women. How do “ugly” men attract beautiful women? Then the scales fell off my eyes. Women might DESIRE tall men, muscled men, charming and hands...

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J By Dr. Ugoji Egbuji Nigerians say: “Like father, like son.” Igbos will say, whatever a snake births must be long. When NEPA was unbundled and privatized, the government promised an end to darkness. These new electricity companies haven’t just continued in NEPA’s dark ways. They have taken to the superciliousness and poor work ethics of public institutions that characterised NEPA. They can’t pretend not to be private companies. NEPA could give no power and yet conjure bills. Eko Distribution can’t do that, it’s fraud. NEPA didn’t need meters. It preferred what it called estimated billing. Eko Distribution can’t live that lifestyle, Nigeria is their Animal Farm. The distribution companies came to sell electricity. And you would think that they would at least come with meters. Three years after, they have no meters. Customers willing to pay for meters can’t get meters. These companies sit in their offices and cook bills which customers must pay. Yet these companies...

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J By Lawani Mikairu lagos—The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority ,NCAA, yesterday warned all irate and belligerent passengers that attack airline officials to desist forthwith or face criminal charges as the authority will not allow any airline official to be ridiculed publicly or endangered.
