South Korea reiterates diplomacy-based approach to DPRK nuke issue

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J South Korea’s presidential Blue House on Thursday reiterated its diplomacy-based approach to the issue of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK)’s nuclear programme. Park Su-hyun, spokesman for President Moon Jae-in, said in a news conference that security had become a comprehensive issue expanding into diplomacy as President Moon mentioned. As seen in the change in the National Security Office of the Blue House, the spokesman said, South Korea would attempt to resolve the security issues through an organic network with relevant countries. The international community’s sanctions and pressures remained towards the DPRK for its advanced nuclear and missile programmes. Kaduna State Govt. generates N6.7bn IGR from January to April – Official

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KDIRS) said it generated N6.7 billion as Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) between January and April. The Executive Chairman of KDIRS, Muktar Ahmed, announced this in Kaduna on Thursday at a news conference to mark the second anniversary of Gov. Nasir El-Rufai led-administration. Ahmed said the state’s monthly revenue generation had increased from an average of N1.4 billion in 2016 to N1.7 billion in 2017. He reiterated the commitment of the service to attain its monthly revenue target of N4 billion. The KDIRS chairman said that the target was achievable, considering the efficiency in tax collection, courtesy of the new tax law in the state. According to Ahmed, the tax law has designated KDIRS as the only revenue collection agency in the state. UN wants investigation into attack on Yemen envoy’s convoy

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J The UN on Thursday urged authorities in Houthi-controlled Sanaa to investigate a “grave attack” on the convoy of its envoy to Yemen during his visit to the capital. UN special envoy, Ismail Ahmed was in Sanaa for three days of talks aimed at preventing military action at the strategic port of Hodeidah, the entry point for 70 per cent of Yemen’s food supplies as well as humanitarian aid. According to statement, Ahmed’s convoy came under attack while traveling from the airport in Sanaa to the UN compound. The Houthi-run Saba news agency has denied any attack. The UN statement gave no details, but local officials said shots were fired toward the convoy by unknown assailants. “The Special Envoy expressed his deep concern regarding the grave attack on his convoy while traveling from the airport to the UN compound on May 22,” the UN said. “The Special Envoy reminded the parties that it is the responsibility of the local authorities to ensure the safety of all UN p...
