Man seek’s wife’s divorce over checking his phone without permission

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J A 54-year-old husband, Adekunle Bakare, on Wednesday asked an Ikorodu Customary Court in  Lagos  to dissolve his six years marriage to his wife, Ajarat, for allegedly checking his phone without his permission. He also told the court his wife is stubborn and constitutes a threat to his life. Bakare, a civil servant, who resides at Philips Nwokwe Street, Igbogbo area of Ikorodu, Lagos, also cited lack of respect and checking his phone without permission as reasons for the  dissolution request. Tambuwal to pay N4m medical expenses of cancer patient awaiting surgery

Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State has undertaken to offset the medical expenses of Maryam Abubakar, an indigene of the state suffering from cancer and presently receiving treatment at an Indian hospital. Abubakar’s case went viral under the hash-tag SUPPORTMARYAM, which elicited various online donations from good Samaritans who sympathised with her. Tambuwal announced his intention to offset the bill in Sokoto  on Tuesday through his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Malam Imam Imam. The governor also urged the people, especially the Muslim faithful to pray for the success of the impending surgery and eventual recovery. “Maryam is one of us and everything possible will be done by the state government to ensure her full recovery,” he said. The patient, a staff nurse at the state Specialist Hospital, is an indigene of Gilbadi village of Gada Local Government Area of the state. NCAA to ensure full compliance with FG’s executive order at airports

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) said on Tuesday that it had put in place measures to ensure full and sustained compliance with the Federal Government’s Executive Order at airports in the country. The General Manager, Public Relations, NCAA, Mr Sam Adurogboye, said the agency’s Director General, Capt. Muhtar Usman, had directed all Aviation Safety Inspectors (ASI) to monitor the level of compliance with the order. Adurogboye said this was alongside their statutory oversight responsibilities at the airports, as enshrined in the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations 2015 (Nig.CARs 2015). “All aviation parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Aviation, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Nigeria Meteorological Agency (Nimet) and Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) have since commenced compliance to the order. “On its part, NCAA has prepared a standard document outlining its core functions and servic...

Teachers :Professional examination begins in October — TRCN

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) says the mandatory Professional Qualifying Examination(PQE) for qualified teachers who want to register with the council is scheduled to commence in October. Prof. Josiah Ajiboye, the Registrar, TRCN made this known in an interview with the Newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday.
