Akinwunmi Ambode and the State House of Assembly to look into their plight, following the demolition of their workshops. They made the appeal when the House Committee on Physical Planning and Urban Development, led by the Chairman, Mr Setonji David, visited the affected areas on Thursday. The committee visit was due to a petition earlier sent to the House by the technicians. The technicians, under the umbrella body of Nigeria Automobile Technician Association (NATA), Lagos State Chapter, said their workshops, located at Babs Animashaun and Coker areas of Surulere, were demolished on Dec. 27 and Dec. 29, 2016 without prior notice. They said that their workshops, which were allegedly demolished by officers from the state Ministry of the Environment, were allocated to them by the state Ministry of Transportation. The WHO has recorded another 29,300 suspected cases of cholera in 19 provinces across the war-torn country from April 27 to Sunday, it said on Twitter late Sunday. “Cholera continues to spread in Yemen,” it said. Save the Children on Monday warned that, at the current rate, more than 65,000 cases of cholera are expected by the end of June. “Save the Children staff in Yemen are warning that a deadly cholera outbreak could become a full blown-epidemic,” it said in a statement. The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, who presided, reserved the judgment after counsel to parties adopted their written addresses. Sen. Ahmed Makarfi-led Caretaker Committee of the party had on March 16, filed the appeal against Sheriff’s position. The Court of Appeal in Port Harcourt on Feb. 27 declared Sheriff as the legitimate national chairman of the party. Earlier, the five- panel of justices dismissed the application filed by Sheriff to stop the apex court from hearing Makarfi’s appeal. At the resumed hearing, Chief Akin Olujimi (SAN), counsel to Sheriff argued that Makarfi’s appeal was an abuse of court process. Although, Swedish prosecutors said  Friday they had dropped an investigation over a rape allegation,  British police said he would  be arrested  if he left the Ecuadorean embassy in London where he has been holed up since 2012. Assange, 45, took refuge in the embassy to avoid extradition to Sweden over the rape allegation, which he denies. He feared Sweden would hand him over to the United States to face prosecution over WikiLeaks’ publication of thousands of classified military and diplomatic documents in one of the largest information leaks in U.S. history. The Swedish prosecutor’s office said in a statement it had decided to end its investigation.
