The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Nkombe Moses, who confirmed the arrest to journalists in Benin yesterday, disclosed that the arrested suspects were those who invited the two female students to the house. Recall that three persons were reported to have died as a result of inhaling generator fumes. The deceased, two females and one male, were said to have been found dead by two other occupants of the flat in the early hours of Sunday. It was gathered that the two females, who were allegedly found naked in the room of the deceased male, were his visitors. The incident occurred when one Suleiman and Musa tricked the woman to board their motorcycle, snatched the baby and took her to a bush, where Musa and another person raped the baby. The Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Gambo Isah, confirmed the development to newsmen, noting that a secondary suspect, Suleiman, has been arrested, while a manhunt has been launched for the primary suspects, Musa, and the other person. He said the father of the baby, Ahmadu Jibril, 50, reported the case at Central Police Station, Funtua Local Government Area. However, it remains to be seen how far they can go this week in sustaining their bull run, as it closed flat last Friday, just a day after the two-day push. The investors have been, rather faint-hearted over the company’s Q1’17 results on the back of persisting pressures from the operating environment. Consequently, a near price stagnation and some reversal of gains have been recorded since mid last month until last week’s short-lived bull stunt.
