http://ift.tt/eA8V8J …Italian Govt, Obaseki set to battle sponsors …We will help to check perpetrators at local level-Oba Ewuare 11 SIMON EBEGBULEM, BENIN CITY When you mention human trafficking in Nigeria, people always say it is prevalent in Edo state. This illicit trade has over the years pitched the natives against the ruling government at Osadebey Avenue. It will be recalled that Edo indigenes, particularly the women started migrating to Italy in the early 90s for greener pastures and majority were engaged in prostitution. It became a thriving business for them and they started having cartels all over Europe. Parents then got involved by selling their property to ensure their daughters were trafficked abroad while the sponsors took these victims to native doctors where they swore oath of allegiance before they moved to Italy. The trade grew into a hydra headed monster. This was the situation in 1999 when then governor Lucky Igbinedion came into power. His wife Eki Igbinedio...

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J By Funmi Komolafe It’s a new month and many churches are having thanksgiving services to express gratitude to God for being alive to witness the fifth month of the year. The number five symbolizes Grace to some Christians, therefore, they refer to the month of May as the month of Grace. Welcome to the month of Grace. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abide with you always. Today’s article is along the same line as that of last week but we’ll move some steps further and we’ll be looking at the Lord’s visit and its attendant consequences. Let me start by saying that whatever situation we find ourselves now, it could be better. We all need to progress. You may not have any challenge that has a spiritual background or even any physical challenge but there must be something you aim at but you are yet to attain. We all need divine connection for us to have divine intervention. Without divine connection, there may ...

http://ift.tt/2pi2mLb By Janet Adetu Being in the right state of mind when driving is a must, stress, fatigue, depression is an absolute No whenever you decide to drive. Not only are you a danger to yourself but would be a threat to other road users too. I remember going out with my driver in Nairobi, Kenya a while back, it was mid -morning so the roads were generally free, as we approached an empty road a woman came speeding right at us as if she were asleep and could not see us. We made a loud noise almost as if to wake her up, before she realized where she was. We averted a probable ghastly accident. I had to get down from my vehicle to see if she was alright. In the midst of it all I could not help noticing the state in which the inside of her car was. It was a right mess just as her thoughts were or so she said. Have you bought your dream car? Have you imagined yourself cruising in your four wheels of choice? When you get that dream vehicle is it to be considered a treasure or ...
