This toy boy is all the tonic I need!

Image
http://ift.tt/eA8V8J Dear Bunmi, I have been married for years and have three children amongst whom is a daughter who is in her twenties. Recently, my daughter’s boyfriend came to visit with his elder brother. When I ran into this elder brother a few weeks after the visit, I was struggling to fix my car and he was very helpful. He came back the next day to find out how the car was and I invited him in. Since then, we’ve been lover and the relationship has taken years off my age. He’s years younger than I am, but who cares? Knowing him is better than taking any rejuvenating tonic. My problem now is that my daughter and husband should not find out. Please don’t tell me to give him up for the sake of my marriage. I’ve tried hard to do that and I can’t. How do I deal with this? Serah, by e-mail. Dear Serah, Affairs very often demand self-deception. You believe that, in the same way as an addict, you are unable to abandon this lover. Also because he is younger, virile and handsome...

Ex is more exciting than hubby!

Image
http://ift.tt/eA8V8J Dear Bunmi, In the last few months, I’ve met up with my ex and the sex is amazing. I get so much romance and affection from him than the man I ended up marrying. We are both in our mid-thirties and have been married for 10 years and have three children. I hooked up with my ex through an old friend that gave him my phone number. Though he has two children, he’s not married. We arranged to meet up at his flat for drinks. When I saw him, my heart started pounding. He didn’t look much different after all these years. As soon as I came through the door, he started kissing me passionately, I felt transported back to the days when we were together. The sex was as good as ever. I would have married him if my husband hadn’t appeared on the scene. I chose my husband because I knew I’d have a better life with him. I wasn’t exactly in love with him, but I have now grown to love him. You may tell me that what I feel for my ex is lust, but I feel a connection with him and ...

Millions of dollars/naira: Abandonment/discovery principles of bona vancatia/res nullius/treasure trove

Image
http://ift.tt/2p7zgCn By Afe Babalola “The question however is whether the government can legitimately spend what legally is not its? Put in another way, can government without more proceed to spend the recovered monies merely because they were abandoned properties? Or is something else required to vest proprietary interests of these monies in government before it can proceed to utilise them”? OVER the past months, the Economics and Financial Crimes Commission and other law enforcement agencies have ‘discovered” huge amounts of money in local and foreign currency stashed away by persons who in some cases are yet to be unidentified. The first notable occurrence was the discovery of about 9 Million dollars belonging to a former Group Managing Director of the NNPC. Weeks later about 250 Million Naira was found hidden in a shop said to belong to a bureau de change operator in Lagos. This was later followed by the mind boggling discovery of about 43 Million Dollars in a flat in Lagos. ...

Buhari: Time to rally round the President

Image
http://ift.tt/eA8V8J When you look at the number of churches and mosques that bestrode the land, one can easily concede that Nigerians are very religious and godly people. But the conclusion might be the worst mistake anybody can make. The hearts of majority of Nigerians are far from anything religious. And the evidence is not far-fetched   It explains why evil dominates the land. It is reason, in spite of the overt subscription to religiosity, violent crimes besiege the land.  It explains why Nigerians are very corrupt and even steal from their own farms monies they don’t even need in their lifetime. It is reason why Nigerians have taken over the throne of God Almighty and believe they have the power to determine life and death. It is these same arrogant convictions and the usurpation of the power of God Almighty that make some Nigerians feel a leader ought not to fall sick and recuperate from illness. There is so much inexplicable and needless fuss about the health condi...

The divinity in our humanity

Image
http://ift.tt/eA8V8J By Femi Aribisala The son of God is not only godly; he is also quintessentially human. What manner of a man is Jesus? The answer reveals a kingdom dynamic vital and fundamental to the believer’s walk. Jesus is the godly man; precisely the kind of man God re-created man to be. Jesus is a man. Like us, he was born of a woman. Like us, he had brothers and sisters. (Matthew 13:55-56). It is imperative to recognise Jesus as a man, otherwise he would become irrelevant to us. Jesus is exactly like you and me; making him appropriately our kinsman redeemer: “From the very beginning God decided that those who came to him- and all along he knew who would- should become like his Son (Jesus), so that his Son would be the First, with many brothers.” (Romans 8:29). Godly man Jesus became a man in order to demonstrate to men that the impossible is now possible in man. Because of Jesus, it is now possible for man to be godly. Because of Jesus, the believer is no longer ordin...

Making your bed every morning improves your life

Image
http://ift.tt/eA8V8J THERE is no doubt that human beings spend roughly a third of their lives in their bedrooms, hence the importance everyone, especially homemakers, should place on the appearance of their bedrooms because it has effect on individual’s mood. This is because it is hard to feel calm, relaxed, competent, and grounded when you stay in a disorganised room. According to a survey, 59 percent of people don’t make their beds; only 27 percent do. The other 12 percent pay someone to do it for them. The issue is that many see it as a great task and, therefore, think they do not have enough time to make their beds. Many think that it is their bedroom and no outsider is seeing it while many, especially teenagers, always ignore it until they are forced to do it. In all, it has not actually been part of daily routine for many homes. Making out time to make your bed should be seen as the first task of the day to be accomplished. Doing it will give you a smal...

http://ift.tt/2pCSGwx Real Madrid's Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo (L) shoots against Atletico Madrid's Slovenian goalkeeper Jan Oblak (R) to score a goal during the UEFA Champions League semifinal first leg football match Real Madrid CF vs Club Atletico de Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium in Madrid, on May 2, 2017. OSCAR DEL POZO / AFP Cristiano Ronaldo proved Atletico Madrid’s Champions League dream destroyer once more with a hat-trick as Real Madrid took a commanding 3-0 semi-final, first leg lead on Tuesday. Ronaldo extended his lead as the all-time top scorer in Madrid derby matches by taking his tally to 21 and put Real firmly on course to defend their title in the final in Cardiff on June 3. The Portuguese rewarded a bright Real start by heading home Casemiro’s deflected cross after just 10 minutes. Ronaldo then smashed home from just inside the area and turned home Lucas Vazquez’s cross in the final 20 minutes as Real continued their domination ...

IS attack kills dozens at Syria camp

Image
http://ift.tt/2p6dtaO The violence left at least 46 people dead and came as another surprise IS attack on Tuesday killed 10 soldiers in Iraq, to the south along the border. A jihadist assault led by suicide bombers killed dozens Tuesday at a camp for the displaced near Syria’s border with Iraq, as pressure grows on the Islamic State group in both countries. The violence left at least 46 people dead and came as another surprise IS attack on Tuesday killed 10 soldiers in Iraq, to the south along the border. As the tolls mounted, US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin discussed the need for “safe zones” in Syria in a telephone call, said the White House. IS appears to be lashing out as it faces escalating offensives on its last two major bastions: second city Mosul in Iraq and Raqa in neighbouring Syria. Its dawn attack in Syria’s northeast hit a makeshift camp near the border with Iraq where some 300 families were waiting to cross into territory...
