Although the relocation of the market is a long term project, the fresh plan to relocate it has left traders scared and worried. Some of the traders, it was gathered, whose tenancy has expired, have been apprehensive to renew same due to uncertainty, while the concern of others is that their investments in the market will eventually lose value. Following the recent demolition of shops located at Ikeja new garage near Computer Village, ICT traders have, nonetheless, made plans to secure alternative shops around Toyin, Allen, Government Reserved Area, GRA, among others, in Ikeja as nobody knows the timeline for the planned relocation of the market, which successive governments have tried to relocate to the same Katangowa. Speaking on efforts to return the bank to profitability and address the bank’s huge non-performing loans (NPL) problem, Adedutan said that the current management has commenced execution of a three year strategy that will reduce NPLs to regulatory threshold as well as grow the customer base. In a communiqué at the 2017 State Legislatures conference which ended yesterday in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, the lawmakers also commended the Federal Government on the feat recorded so far in the fight against corruption. The cultists killed one Nna Assor and chopped off his head in Omudioga community, following earlier invasion of the community by Deygbam cult members, last week Wednesday. The Omudioga Youth President, Mr. Chinyere Amadi, disclosed that Assor was killed and beheaded by suspected members of the rival Iceland cultists and that residents of the community are now living in fear.
