http://ift.tt/eA8V8J Abeokuta—The two non-academic staff unions of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta FUNAAB yesterday, expressed mixed reactions over the suspension of the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Olusola Oyewole. The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, had in a letter dated May 5, signed by the Acting Permanent Secretary, Dr. Hussaini Adamu, suspended Oyewole. The suspension is pending the determination of a criminal suit instituted against him by the EFCC. Oyewole, whose five- year tenure will expire on May 23, however defied the directive and reported for work at his office on Monday. But members of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities (NASU) and Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU, of the institution yesterday, held separate rallies on the campus to express their respective feeling for and against Oyewole. It will be recalled that the House recently rejected a motion sponsored by a member representing Imo State, Mr. Goodluck Opiah, calling on oil companies to relocate or establish their administrative offices in the Niger Delta region where they engage in oil exploration. The motion was sequel to an earlier presidential order by the acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, asking oil multinationals to relocate their headquarters  to the region. Speaking during the 2nd session of the 14th Synod service, held at the Cathedral Church of St. Peter, Asaba, with the theme, Of whom the world was not worthy, Mogekwu charged Christians to increase their drive to win more souls for the kingdom of God through the preaching of the gospel. Igboekulie hails S-East govs on economic integration

A statement jointly signed by Prince Ben Onuora and Mr. Benjamin Obidegwu, president and secretary respectively, said it had for long advocated for such a structure, adding that the group was excited given the roadmap  allowed  Igbo-speaking areas to adopt an inclusive economic plan. Speaking on the efforts of the administration, he said: “In six months,  we have been able to chart a course that will carry Edo people along and intimate them on what to expect from the government in our four years.
