Osinbajo stated this on Monday in a nationwide broadcast to mark the second anniversary of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration. He said that accounting for the funds had become imperative in view of the determination of the administration to bring persons accused of corruption to justice. http://ift.tt/eA8V8J Lafia – The mother and sister of Mr Kassim Mohammed-Kassim, member representing Akwanga South constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, abducted by gunmen on Saturday have regained their freedom. They were abducted at their residence in Moroa village in Akwnaga at about 8 p.m. DSP Kennedy Idirisu, Nasarawa State Police Command spokesman, confirmed the rescue of the abductees in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Lafia. According to Idirisu, the victims regained their freedom at about 3 a.m. after the combined efforts of the police, the vigilante and other security agencies. He said the police would not rest on its oars until the perpetrators were apprehended and brought to justice. Idirisu said the police was not aware of any ransom paid to secure the release of the abductees. Asabe Bashir, lawmaker (APC Damboa/Gwoza/Chibok Federal Constituency of Borno) in the House of Representatives has urged the Federal Government to ensure the speedy release of the remaining Chibok girls. The lawmaker made the call in a telephone interview with newsmen on Monday in Abuja. The Federal Government on Saturday announced the release of 82 abducted Chibok Girls after a successful negotiation with their abductors. More than 200 girls were abducted from their dormitories in 2014 at Government Girls Secondary School Chibok, Borno, preparatory to their final examination. However, 21 of them were earlier released in October 2016 after negotiation between the Federal Government and the insurgents. Xi has made China’s “cyber sovereignty” a top priority in his sweeping campaign to bolster security. He has also reasserted the ruling Communist Party’s role in limiting and guiding online discussion. The new regulations, released by the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) on its website, extend restrictions on what news can be produced and distributed by online platforms, requiring all services to be managed by party-sanctioned editorial staff. The administration said the rules, which come into effect on June 1, apply to all political, economic, military, or diplomatic reports or opinion articles on blogs.
