http://ift.tt/2qraigY There are certain misleading myths about hangovers that have become beliefs or truths a lot of people adhere to and advise others to adhere to. Jumia Travel, the leading online travel agency, helps to dispel some of these misleading myths about hangovers. The following are the 6 misleading myths about hangovers. Hangovers Are No Big Deal They are a big deal. Olympics: IOC 2024 bid inspectors tour Paris landmarks

Image
http://ift.tt/eA8V8J Olympic officials began their first day inspecting the Paris 2024 bid with a visit to the Eiffel Tower, the iconic backdrop to the triathlon start should the French capital be chosen to host the Games. The IOC’s 11-member evaluation commission, who examined rival bidders Los Angeles last week, had a bird’s eye view from the Tower of many proposed venues including the Champs-Elysees and Grand Palais, and Saint-Denis to the north-east of the city where the Olympic village will be situated. The compact nature of Paris’ Olympic venues is offered as one of the bid’s main selling points with over 80 percent of venues covering 22 sports within a radius of 10 kilometres (8 miles) making “Paris an Olympic park”. The bid inspectors, led by Switzerland’s Patrick Baumann, were then greeted at the Stade de France by Lilian Thuram who won the 1998 World Cup at the national stadium. “We have to seduce them with emotion, that it would be fantastic if it was Paris, but also sh...

http://ift.tt/2ps3qBl PHOTO:GABRIEL BOUYS / AFP Usain Bolt’s imminent retirement is a blow for athletics, but a new generation of Jamaican sprinters is ready to try to fill his golden shoes, Olympic champions Elaine Thompson and Omar McLeod said Friday. Thompson, the Olympic women’s 100m and 200m champion, and 110m hurdles gold medallist McLeod will be among the marquee performers in Saturday’s Shanghai Diamond League competition, which will feature rematches of key Rio Games battles. Bolt, the greatest sprinter in history with eight Olympic golds, 11 world titles and three world records, will retire from international competition after the world championships in August. “It’s saddening that he’s retiring, but there is nothing we can do to change his mind,” McLeod said wistfully in Shanghai. “But what we can do, as young emerging Jamaican athletes, is shine our own lights and try our very best to keep the flag flying high.” Thompson added: “He’s a legend. He’s done so muc...
