Dickson, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media Relations, Mr. Francis Agbo, in Yenagoa, yesterday, said that what the party needed at this juncture to play its role as a leading opposition voice, was genuine reconciliation founded on compromises and forgiveness. Dickson, who is the Chairman of the PDP National Reconciliation Committee, said he was speaking out of concern, following the decampment of PDP members to other political parties as well as reports of PDP leaders floating alternative political platforms. Mr. Ogarebe was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police by the authorities of Nigeria Police Force and posted to Enugu State Police Command as the new ACP in charge of Criminal Investigation Department, CID. Organized by Mrs. Lawretta Ogrih, Chief Executive of Ivory Whetstones and Mentors Foundation, publishers of SEE Inspiration Magazine, a non-governmental organization, the event was aimed at raising funds for women in need. According to Mrs. Ogrih, these special women include widows, single parents and those facing different challenges and unable to help themselves. “They do not only need our financial support, but also our love and care.  This comedy concert is designed, among other things, to raise awareness and, more importantly, to raise money to help us empower women in need,” she said.
