NAF commander urges officers, men to be combat ready

http://ift.tt/2pVY2X8 Nigerian Air Force The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has urged its officers and men to be combat ready and fit for deployment to quell insurgency and criminality at all time. The Commander, 155 Base Service Group of NAF in Enugu, Air Commodore Paul Masiyer, said this after the compulsory 10 Kilometre Walk/Jog exercise for NAF personnel in Enugu on Saturday. Masiyer said that the essence of physical exercise was to keep troops in shape and combat ready at all times. He said that the exercise had continued to improve existing synergy with other security forces in the state. The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Mr. Ita Enang in a closed door session presented the document to Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The budget first presented in December 2016 before the two chambers of the national assembly by the President had an estimate of N7.28 trillion but was raised to N7.44 trillion by the federal lawmakers. Details of the budget showed that N434.4 billion was appropriated for statutory transfers to the National Judicial Council (N100 billion); Niger Delta Development Commission (N64.02 billion); Universal Basic Education (N95.2 billion); National Assembly (N125 billion); Public Complaints Commission (N4 billion); INEC (N45 billion); and National Human Rights Commission (N1.2 billion). Nuclear Crisis: Trump gives condition for N/Korea talk

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J U.S. President Donald Trump told South Korea’s presidential envoy that Washington was willing to try to resolve the North Korean nuclear crisis through engagement, but under the right conditions, South Korea’s foreign ministry said on Thursday. Trump has said “a major, major conflict” with North Korea is possible and all options are on the table but that he wanted to resolve the crisis diplomatically, possibly through the extended use of economic sanctions. South Korean President Moon Jae-in, who took office on May 9, has campaigned on a more moderate approach towards the North but he has said it must change its attitude of insisting on arms development before dialogue can be possible.
