Radio One Children’s Sports Fiesta flags off May 20

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J By Jacob Ajom Preliminary football matches of the second edition of Radio One Sports Fiesta will kick off May 20 at the National Broadcast Academy, Fajuyi Way, Ikeja, Lagos with 32 male and 8 female teams participating. Apart from football, the fiesta will also feature the 100 metres dash and the 1 x 400 metres relay race. We will relay Abacha loot letter to Trump, says US embassy

Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson requesting the Administration to attach and release to Nigeria some $500 million worth of US-based proceeds of corruption traced to former Nigerian dictator General Sani Abacha.” The US embassy said that, “The Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are in regular communication with the Nigerian Attorney General and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding further cooperation needed to conclude pending asset forfeiture cases and to develop a mechanism for the timely and transparent repatriation of those assets.” The embassy letter signed by David J. Nigeria imports $100m sugar annually—CBN

Following this unfavourable trade deficit, Emefiele declared the readiness of the apex bank to partner the Nigeria-based Chinese investor, Lee Group, and Jigawa State government to the take-off of the multi-billion Naira white refined sugar cane factory that could generate N60 billion annually. The CBN Governor, who spoke during the foundation laying ceremony of 12,000 hectres of land for the sugar cane factory in Garin Chiroma in Gagarawa Local Government Area of Jigawa State, noted that Nigeria had the potential to produce sugar for local consumption.
