NDDC supports Fair Life Africa to celebrate with children in Delta

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J By Festus Ahon IN a complete show of love, a socio-educational and youth growth organization, with support from Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and other partners, Fair Life Africa Foundation, has celebrated with school children, orphanages, and street kids in Delta State. The event was part of activities to  mark the Children’s Day, aimed at celebrating “childhood”. The group held the celebration separately at Asaba, Ughelli, Warri, Sapele, Ozoro, Kwale and Agbor. The event’s coordinator, Mr Gab Nwachukwu, in his speech at Ughelli, explained the purpose of the project, adding that “Fair Life Africa Foundation is committed to the mind and qualitative education of children. “We look for avenues to ensure children actively participate in extra-curricular activities that promote fuller lives”. He said the children were drawn from Rose Ilogbo’s Motherless & Babies Home, Orem Orphanage Home, Afiesere, Pro Labore Dei, Asaba, Mother of Divine Grace...

FG Executive Order changing things at Lagos International Airports

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J By Lawani Mikairu The Federal Government Executive Order on the Ease of Doing Business in Nigeria issued recently by the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has come into force at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, and this has led to quicker and faster processing of passengers before boarding. Vanguard visit to the departure hall of the airport revealed that the manual baggage checking counters of the foreign airlines operating at the airport have been removed and replaced with one harmonized screening machine at the airport departure hall. This has eased the long queues  at the check-in-counters of the airlines. Before the new order, after the passengers and their luggage had passed through the screening machine at the entrance of the departure lounge, both the passengers and their luggage were subjected again to manual screening by the various security officials at the check-in counters of the airlines. Combined teams of police personnel led by the Area Commander, Asaba, also rescued the reigning monarch, Obi of Egbudu Akah, Obi Paul Esemeka, his wife, Mrs Theresa Esemeka and George Nmemuku, whose houses were razed by arsonists. Commissioner of Police, Delta State, Mr. Zanna Ibrahim, who confirmed  police raid on the community, said police had been deployed in the community to maintain peace.
