NAE, Arco Group canvass greater attention to engineering profession

The Academy led by its President Engr, MrsJoanna Maduka was in Arco’s Head Office to brief Arco on its expanding role in promoting engineering education and profession as well as discuss ways and means of broadening its collaboration with Arco in different spheres of its activities. Sunday Vanguard gathered that the  incident occured yesterday. The father, who was   simply described as Inimgba, reportedly struck his child with a  hard object. Nobody could explain why he   did so. A neighbour, who gave her name as (Stella, not real name), said the father abandoned  the child, thus forcing him to fend for himself. http://ift.tt/eA8V8J ….Says only NASS can prescribe rates to be paid on tenements in the FCT By Henry Umoru THE Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, yesterday approved the temporary suspension of Tenement Rates collection in FCT, just as it said that only the National Assembly has the constitutional role to prescribe rates to be paid on tenements in the FCT and not the administration. According to the FCTA, the suspension became imperative against the backdrop that the government wants to sanitize and streamline the  tenement rates collection process as well as ensure compliance with relevant provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Edo Govt to partner with NIEPA to boost educational sector

Governor Godwin Obaseki disclosed this when he met with the management of the institute, led by its Director General/ Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Lilian Salami,at Government House Benin City. Acknowledging the importance of the institute in the training of educational practitioners, Obaseki said collaborating with the institute has become necessary due to the reforms embarked upon by his administration in the educational sector.
