http://ift.tt/eA8V8J The Kaduna State Police command, on Friday denied reports in some section of the media that 20 people were kidnapped on Wednesday along Abuja-Kaduna express way. The Commissioner of Police ,Mr Agyole Abeh, said this at a news conference in Kaduna on Friday, “The Command wishes to state that, there was no report of such incident and the story is entirely a fabricated falsehood intended to create fear in the minds of citizens. “It is pertinent to note that command has not relented in acting on reports on the suspected activities of criminals in the state.” The commissioner, who was represented by his deputy in charge of operations, Mr. Abdulrahaman Ahmed, said the command had only recorded an incident where five persons driving along Kaduna-Abuja express way were attacked and three of them were robbed while the other two were kidnapped. “When the report reached us, the Command’s technical and human resources where deployed to ensure the rescue of the two victim...

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Mmamel completed his defection to the APC when he registered in his Agu Obowa Ward II in Ezeagu Local Government Area of the state. He was received by his ward Chairman, Mr Chidozie Uchenna, APC chairman in Enugu state, Dr Ben Nwoye and the party’s national Vice Chairman in the South-East, Chief Emma Enukwu. Nerwsmen report that Delta Flickers defeated Nasarawa Flickers 2-0 to top the male competition. The Delta Queens defeated Yankari Babes of Bauchi 1-0 to top the female competition. In the male final match played at the Abuja National Stadium, Awoh Samuel scored the first goal in the 41st minute. Pius Afure scored from a short corner in the 58th minute to extend the lead. NAN reports that with the win, Delta Flickers and Nasarawa Flickers in the male category gained promotion into the Super League. Delta Queens and Yankari Babes of Bauchi also gained promotion into the Super League in the female category. NDDC embarks on N366bn worth of projects in Delta, says Ndoma-Egba

The Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC) has since inception embarked on 1,614 projects in Delta valued N366 billion. The Chairman of the commission, Sen. Victor Ndoma-Egba, made the disclosure when he led a delegation to Gov Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta on Thursday. He said in a statement by Mr Ibitoye Abosede the NDDC’s Director of Corporate Affairs in Abuja on Thursday that 803 of the projects had been completed and commissioned while 396 were still ongoing. Ndoma-Egba told the governor that one of the first decisions taken by the board was the re-activation of all dormant organs of the commission. He mentioned the Advisory Committee as one of such organs as it was made up of all the governors of the NDDC member states and two other members appointed by Mr. President. Luxury travel company Blue Marble Private is offering voyages to the ship for $105,129 per person – almost double what travelers paid for Deep Ocean Expeditions’ 2012 journey to the wreckage, according to CNN. The eight-day trip will kick off in Canada in May 2018 and transport participants in a submersible to the wreck site, where travelers will have as many as three days of diving, up to three hours a day, to examine the ship, which rests 12,000 feet below the surface of the North Atlantic Ocean. Tilayi who disclosed at the last AAMA Conference in Abuja, decried the fact that Africa presently controls 2.5 percent of global trade figures by volume and less than one percent participation in the global maritime industry.
