Akinyemi also said in a statement that the recent admission of Morocco into the regional organisation, was an anti-Nigeria move. “Having failed to find any rational benefit to ECOWAS by expanding membership to Morocco, I can only conclude that the move is to whittle down Nigeria’s influence in ECOWAS. “And by extension, in the world, as Nigeria’s status as a regional power is facilitated by its role in ECOWAS. “Nigeria has only one option. Nacha, who is the Nutrition Focal Person at the Outpatients Therapeutic Centre (OTP), gave the commendation when UNICEF and its media team visited the PHC on Friday in Yola. “The malnutrition rate and number of death caused by the condition prior to UNICEF’s intervention used to be very disturbing, however now there is a drastic reduction of the burden. “Specifically, from January till date there has been only one death recorded, while five have defaulted in accessing treatment due to migration, among other reasons,’’ she said. The USGS put the quake’s epicenter inside Canada’s Yukon Territory in a wilderness preserve 83 kilometers (52 miles) northwest of Skagway, Alaska. USGS said it struck at 12:31 GMT at a depth of 2.2 kilometers (1.4 miles). The agency initially measured the quake’s intensity at 6.5, but later revised it to 6.2.
