FRSC cautions motorists on fake drivers’ licence

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Oyo state Command, on Tuesday, cautioned motorists on the use of fake drivers’ licence. Mr Olusegun Akinyemi, Sector Head of Operation of FRSC in Ibadan, gave the warning at a rally organised by Oluyole Unit command to sensitise the public on dangers on the road. Akinyemi urged motorists to stop obtaining licences from fraudulent individuals rather; they should partronise agencies saddled with such responsibilities. He said genuine drivers’ licence could be obtained from the five units of the command in the state. Akinyemi said that it was an offence for motorists to drive without a licence. Mrs Titilayo Olayiwola, the Commander, Oluyole Unit, urged motorists plying Lagos-Ibadan express way, to drive with care because of the on-going construction. FBN Holdings shareholders approve N7.18bn dividend for 2016

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J FBN Holdings shareholders on Friday approved dividend of N7.18 billion declared by the company for the financial year ended Dec. 31, 2016. The  shareholders gave the approval at the company’s 5th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Lagos. The dividend translated to 20k per share against N5.38 billion or 15k per share paid in the comparative period of 2015. Mr Sunny Nwosu, the National Coordinator Emeritus, Independent Shareholders Association of Nigeria (ISAN), commended the company for declaring dividend in spite of high impairment. Nwosu said that the shareholders appreciated the dividend considering the unfriendly operating environment and impairment charge for credit losses. He urged the company’s board and management to map out strategies aimed at fighting the impairment to improve operating profit.
