President Muhammadu Buhari.

The pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, has accused the President Muhammadu Buhari administration of allegedly marginalising the South West geopolitical zone in appointments into federal agencies and parastatals.

In a communiqué issued at the end of its meeting yesterday in Akure, said the act was further made manifest in the recent appointments at the Department of State Services (DSS).

The meeting, which was graced by Gen. Alani Akinrinade (rtd), Chief Cornelius Adebayo, Chief Segun Adegoke, Basorun Sehinde Arogbofa, Senator Gbenga Kaka, Chief Kole Omololu and Chief Olu Falae among others, urged the Federal Character Commission and National Assembly to immediately redeem the alleged imbalance in the spirit of democracy.

Chief Korede Duyile, who addressed newsmen, pleaded with the lawmakers to expedite action in that regard.
