CIBN holds yearly meetings

Prof. Segun Ajibola, President and Chairman of Council of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) has concluded arrangements to host the 2017 yearly general meeting of the institute on Saturday, May 20, at the Bankers House, in Lagos, at 10 am.

The meeting will attract top bankers and other distinguished dignitaries from other sectors of the economy- chairmen and chief executives of banks, past presidents of the institute, presidents of other professional bodies, top government functionaries, Fellows, Honourary Senior Members, Associates, among others.

President/Chairman of Council of the institute, Prof. Segun Ajibola, will preside over the meeting, while there will be a consideration of the yearly reports, accounts and other important matters affecting the institute and the welfare of members.

It is expected that members of the Institute all over the country will turn-out en-masse as well as participate actively at the discussions for the interest of the banking profession and industry.

CJN okays Mustapha as new S-Court Chief Registrar

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J By Ikechukwu Nnochiri ABUJA – The Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Walter Onnoghen, has okayed the appointment of Mrs. Hadizatu Uwani Mustapha, as the new Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court. A statement from the CJN on Sunday indicated that Mrs. Mustapha will assume office on July 1, to replace the current Chief Registrar, Mr. Ahmad Gambo Saleh. The statement further revealed that Saleh will on the same day resume in his new position as the Secretary of the National Judicial Council, NJC. Mrs. Mustapha’s elevation to the apex court was contained in a Letter of Offer of Appointment dated May 31 and signed by the Secretary of the Federal Judicial Service Commission, FJSC, Mrs. Bilkisu Bashir.
