‘I go to shops, request for money, if they refuse, I slap them and collect money by force’

The above statement was allegedly made by an alleged Nigerian boy who lives among a group named ‘Area Boys’ in Lagos. We have no job but we control some areas with shops in Lagos, he said.

This was made known to Vanguard via BBC in Lagos. The Area Boys in a chat with Bbc.com said that they can kill anybody anyhow and collect money by force. One of them named ‘Cross and Die’ explained his name to mean, anyone who crosses his part knowingly or otherwise most surely be killed by him, he dramatically and  boastfully said.

CJN okays Mustapha as new S-Court Chief Registrar

A statement from the CJN on Sunday indicated that Mrs. Mustapha will assume office on July 1, to replace the current Chief Registrar, Mr. Ahmad Gambo Saleh. The statement further revealed that Saleh will on the same day resume in his new position as the Secretary of the National Judicial Council, NJC. Mrs. Mustapha’s elevation to the apex court was contained in a Letter of Offer of Appointment dated May 31 and signed by the Secretary of the Federal Judicial Service Commission, FJSC, Mrs. Bilkisu Bashir.
