Ostapenko stuns Halep to win French Open

Latvia’s Jelena Ostapenko stunned third seed Simona Halep 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 on Saturday to win her maiden Grand Slam title and become the lowest-ranked champion in French Open history.

Ostapenko, 20 is the first unseeded player to lift the Roland Garros title and the first Latvian major champion in history.

Governor Ben Ayade also urged residents of the state to ensure cleanliness and sustain greenery initiative or face prosecution.
